About the CAR T Closer to Home Campaign

There is an urgent need to expand CAR T-cell therapy access across Canada. This specialized treatment is a newer option for patients with certain blood cancers, yet significant barriers within our healthcare system are limiting its full implementation and impact.

Canada's healthcare system stakeholders need to continue to work together to address the pressing need to further enhance capacity for CAR T therapy in Canada through targeted healthcare system investments.

Il faut de toute urgence améliorer l’accès au traitement par cellules CAR-T partout au Canada. Ce traitement spécialisé est une option récente pour les patients atteints de certains cancers du sang. Toutefois, d’importants obstacles au sein même du système de santé limitent la mise en œuvre complète du traitement et son impact.

Les intervenants du système de santé canadien doivent continuer de travailler ensemble pour répondre ce besoin pressant et continuer d’améliorer la capacité de traitement par cellules CAR-T au Canada grâce à des investissements ciblés dans le système de santé.
